What is the BTEC International Level 3 Extended Diploma?
BTEC International Level 3 Extended Diploma, equivalent to three A-levels in terms of academic achievement, offers learners aged 16+ the knowledge, understanding, skills and vocational training needed to prepare for specific careers or to progress to higher education.

COURSE OVERVIEW
This course focuses on practical acting techniques, offering the chance to refine creativity and performance skills. Students not only study renowned practitioners and acting styles but also develop their own techniques and methods through workshops, group projects, and live performances. The curriculum emphasises developing skills in voice and movement, along with independent research exploring the nuances of the actor's craft. Crucially, the course explores both stage and camera acting skills, essential knowledge for every actor in the contemporary era.

Elevating the BTEC Experience at Creation Drama College
The primary goal of the CDC BTEC is to offer students valuable hands-on experiences that not only paves the way to further education but also open doors to immediate employment. Effectively managing one's acting career is paramount in securing opportunities, and at CDC, we go beyond by providing essential support, additional tools and experiences to ensure you can confidently pursue a future in the performing arts upon completing the course.
In addition to the above, Creation Drama College will offer:
An Intensive Program:
The Level 3 Extended Diploma spans 1080 Guided Learning Hours across a 2-year period, averaging approximately 15 guided learning hours per week.
In an effort to maximise our students' training opportunities over these two years, our program is scheduled from:
10:00 - 16:00 Tuesday to Friday
In addition to this we will hold periodic Industry Mondays.
This will amount to more than 400 additional guided learning hours over the 2 years, enriching the educational experience for our students.
